2009, Hurrah
Well here we go folks, out of one year and into another. Hmm, what can I really say about this year? It's been a very eventful year for me. College, work, loves, politics, making friends and what not. It's been over a year now that I have been a Neopagan, or as I say a Polytheist or Grecco-Egyptian Reconstructionist Polytheist. Finally got the last season of Jericho. I really, really wanna go to Japan and Vietnam. Going to be working on losing 30lbs so I can join the Air Force ROTC. Hopin gmy brother is less of a drunken, self absorbed bastard. Going to see of my lil brother into the Marines. Living through the changes of my life. Well folks, here is to hopin that by myself, the good daimones, and the gods themselves that this year is better for me and all fo you!!!!!! | | 11:17 am |

Acts 19:34 http://www.wildhunt.org/2008/10/temple-of-artemis-to-be-rebuilt.htmlhttp://www.turkishdailynews.com.tr/article.php?enewsid=118819Squuuuuuueeeeeeeeeeee! The Temple of Diana of Ehpesus is going to be rebuilt in Turkey! One of the ancient Seven Wonders of the World no less!!! I find this news to be exciting to me in two ways. 1. My Hellenistic Recon NeoPagan (or whatever I wanna call me) soul is filled with joy that such an event is taking place! I can not easily describe the thrill and the simple description of rebuilding the temple means, it's just so wonderful it makes me giddy! 2. It will be a cultural and architectural achievement! I obvously am a lover of Hellenistic Architecture and Art. I am also intriged how with modern day tools the builders will make an ancient day temple, especially one as magnificent as one of the Seven Wonders. Of the quotes in the Turkish Daily, this one caught my eye the most! "When completed, the temple will not be a copy or an imitation of the original Artemis but the Artemis itself. And its sisters of the past will set their eyes on it with pride and emulation.” -Dr. Atılay İleri, the founder of the Selçuk Artemis Culture, Arts and Education Foundation | | Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008 | | 1:09 pm |
Libertas Shackled?
Arrrrgh, why is it that Naomi Wolf of all people the one to make me cry and my mind shout out with anger and inspire this? "Give me Liberty" her book, is so, so common sense and right it saddens me.... I know this does bring into politics and religion, but I think Athena and Libertas smile on me. I hope now I have got this off my chest, I can get back to celebrating happiness with Hathor now! Save the rest of these passions I am feeling for later. Libertas, Lady of Liberty is held in chains! Trumpted on parade, do not be fooled as she smiles and waves. Look closer, LOOK! Her feet are chained! Look closer, LOOK! She trys to speak, but she has no permit.... Look closer, LOOK! She trys to shout, but she is distrubing the peace... Look closer, LOOK! She is out of reach, behind barrier and police cordon.... What can be done? We know nothing of our own rights! Kept in ignorance. The people, do they even care? She laments in tears.... Nay, we must fight for the light our founding fathers made. Happiness, misunderstood. Oh, Grey Eyed Athena your gaze pierces injustice. Oh, Aegis-bearer, hold your shield against the lies. Oh, Savior with your wisdom lead us to save dear liberty! Oh, Mighty Athena with your sword cut her bonds! Lead on, Lead on so we may have our Life, Liberty, and Happiness. | | 12:30 am |
Happy Birthday Hathor
Happy Birthday oh Golden, skyclad lady! Mistress of Joy and Drunkeness! May you fill my days with your presence! You will be in my thoughts! Goddess Oh, Goddess, Oh My Goddess! I am in love with thee! | | Tuesday, September 30th, 2008 | | 3:06 pm |
"Who Really knows, and who can Swear, How creation came, when or where! Even gods came after creation day, Who really knows, who can truly say When and how did creation start? Did He do it? Or did He Not? Only He, up there, knows, maybe: Or perhaps not even He." -Text from the Rega Veda I read this and I am just wow, put to calm and at peace. | | Monday, September 22nd, 2008 | | 10:28 pm |

The Dark Knight
WOWW HOLY WOW! WOOP WOW~! Movie......Awesome...... I gtotta say for the Joker....he is now scarier then Hannibal Lectar.... The writers and with Heath Ledger have transformered the Joker... All the way back in Batman The Movie, Jack Nickhalson definitly was a great rule for that Joker, a Joker who was a "Villian". But in this movie, the Joker has become something different, he becomes the crazy sadistic psychotic spirit of anarchy. Ledger took himself and transformed himself, it was hard to figure out if he was human at all. Go see the Dark Knight. Your will be Amazed. You will be Scared. You will be Sad. Your will Laugh. | | Saturday, July 5th, 2008 | | 12:58 pm |

God Against The Gods
A lil book review of a lucky and unlikely find in my local library. “God Against The Gods” by John Kirsch is a most worthwhile read. Providing a extremely detailed history from the Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaton to the Jewish rulers of the Old Testament. Last to Rome, presenting the Christian Revolution brought by Constantine, and the Counter-Revolution of Julian. Though focusing on the principles and actions of Monotheism, Kirsch provides classical paganism in it’s positive light, smacking down the demonic and sinful perceptions, and letting out it’s truth, the doctrine of religious toleration (Note: a chapter devoted to “What Did Pagans Do” is a section that recons should take a look at). Kirsch also brings forth quite a few interesting points through the book (many from quotations across the stretch of time), some being Judaism had acquired it’s monotheistic nature from Akhenaton’s cult of Aton, why up to the point of late Rome monotheism had yet tot totally prevail, and of the attractions and differences with the ‘mystery’ cults and the seemingly ironic moral views of pagan Romans. Summed up the book brings up the truth of a phrase within the first chapter title: The Dark Side of Monotheism. The Bright Side of Polytheism. The last section presenting itself with truth, common sense, and the lingering thoughts on “what if”…. | | 8:00 am |

Fundie USA
Just a paper for Composition class, I did it on Fundamentalism in USA. In governmental politics you can see the sides that argue, and debate are sided, one side argues citing their arguments from holy texts such as the Bible or the Koran, and they are supported by God, they are the Fundamentalists. Fundamentalists try to bring the holy into the secular government, and their religious interference in the politics of the USA has been a bad mixing, like gasoline and fire. The first historical evidence of Christian fundamentalists in the United States was in the period known as the Great Awakening, a period of high religious activity, and a rise in puritan activity. Fundamentalist activity led to moralist laws which ranged from prohibition to compulsory bible study laws, laws that brought religious action into the secular government, and swayed government officials. Helping at the same time to ignite American Nationalism that spurred on unity within the protestant government, and backlashes against non-protestant peoples. The mid 20th Century saw Christian Fundamentalism take on a new turn, an turn of separatism and increased intensity. The 20th century was characterized by increased civil rights, and a increasing turn toward secularism on new issues ranging from gay rights and abortion the fundamentalists opposed. Igniting vicious ideological battles within the government, dividing the United States’ people, and causing many violent riots, and abuses. Recently, Fundamentalism has not only focused on civil rights issues; but opposition between Christian and Muslim Fundamentalists. Indirect interference by Muslim Fundamentalism has caused a total shift in US policy to combat what government officials see as irrational fundamentalism, causing US commitments into the Middle East. While, Christian Fundamentalists have also used the view of violent Islam based Fundamentalism to encourage government policies to battle Islam as a crusade against evil, and causing critics of the US to cite US’s actions against Islam as imperial-fascist. These two fundamentalisms have also caused domestic backlashes in uncountable racist actions ranging from simple bias toward Muslims and people of Arab descent, to attacks on Muslim communities, and vice versa. Throughout the history of the United States the forced insertion of fundamentalist religion into the government has caused violent backlashes. Continued attempted mixing by fundamentalists will only cause more, and more fires. Done | | 7:29 pm |
Brother. Condom. Penis Vision. Retainer. Pizza Hut.
Ok, funniest thing ever. Earlier today me, my brothers, and my Ma were sitting outside on the porch of a kid that my Ma watches's house waiting for the parent to come home and all go to Pizza Hut. Now, up from his car my brother walks up and sits down. Before I know it he is blowing up a bright pink condom, bigger and bigger then his head and looking through it, I tribute to this "PENIS VISION"! So we all laugh at this, and start to play shout Penis louder then the other-game in this residential suburb, when my brother stats blowing it out again, then my other brother pops it with a twig. BOOOOM!!!! Well after that we talk about how thin and easy prikable it was, laughing at me saying Asian Pussy have teeth bla blah, I hit both of em a few times..... Well later we go Pizza Hut, and after a few pizza's my brother remembers to pop out his retainer, and out wrapped in the retainer is a large piece of pink Latex condom X3 He was pretty much tasting condom up to that point X3 Condom Flavored Pizza....what a seller that could be! | | Monday, May 19th, 2008 | | 10:06 pm |
Surprise of the Mummy and Temple....
Very nice surprised greeted me tonight as I looked for my book on Mumuification (Sort of my part interest and honoring of Anubis). As I was looking through one entire chest of books, I found a Book on Ancient Egyptian Temples! I have no idea how it got there but it looks a good read, even has info about how temples were built, maybe I can use that.... | | Friday, May 16th, 2008 | | 8:16 pm |
All about Ranma 1/2
All about Ranma 1/2. Created by Rumiko Takahashi All in all the Manga is 36 volumes long. The Anime-Show is not as long, it does have some variations to it, cast and different episodes. Noticably the voices of a few key cast do change but overall they do good voice overs. Jusensenkyo is a Martial Arts Trainning Ground, this is where the story starts. Each spring, of the hundreds of springs, have a tragic story of someone drowning, be it Spring of Drowned Girl, Spring or Drowned Panda, or Spring of Yeti Riding A Bull While Carrying Chicken and Eel. http://www.furinkan.com/ranma/"A man named Genma Saotome and his son, Ranma, travelled to China to train at the accursed Jusenkyo training grounds. The area was spotted with small pools of water with stalks of bamboo jutting from them. Genma and Ranma jumped atop the bamboo stalks disregarding their Guide's shouts and warnings. Ranma knocks his father out of the air and sends him plummeting into one of the pools below. Ranma is shocked when a giant panda leaps out of the water and proceeds to attack him. The panda gains the upper hand and Ranma falls into one of the springs below. When he emerges he is shocked to find that he has turned into a girl. The father and son travel to Japan to meet Genma's old friend, Soun Tendo. Even before their children were born, Genma and Soun promised to engage two of their children. Soun's daughters, Kasumi, Nabiki, and Akane are shocked to find one of them has been engaged to a girl, but once Ranma's secret is revealed, the two elder daughters elect Akane to be Ranma's fiancee. Ranma and Akane can not stand each other after their first meeting. Akane thinks Ranma is a pervert when he accidentally see her nude in the bathroom, and Ranma is not fond of Akane's aggressive outbursts. The two seem to be a match made in hell, and things only seem to get worse once school begins. Ranma quickly butts heads with Akane's would-be suitor, Tatewaki Kuno, who tries to win her affections on a daily basis. When Kuno discovers that Akane is now engaged to Ranma, he instantly dislikes him. Things become more complicated when Kuno meets Ranma in his female form and instantly falls for the mysterious "Pig-Tailed Girl". (From above site). Such fun craziness. Not to mention a HOST of other characters that come in, such as Ranma's other fiancees (A Chinese Amazon named Shampoo who wants to kill Ranma's girl form, a Cross-Dressing Chef girl with a BIG Spatula, and a quite crazy black petal ribbon whirling gymnast who is Kuno's sister. Not to mention Ranma's rivals, such as Ryoga the perpetually Lost Boy who turns into a pig with cold water, Mousse also a Chinese amazon with many secret and deadly weapons in his robes but has such poor eye sight he wouldn;t notice the one is talking to was a tree or a statue (and turns to a duck with a splash of water), a villian of sorts who with a splash of cold water turns into a Sort of Yeti monster (cuz this one fell into the spring of Drowned Yeti riding a bull, holding an eel and chicken in it's hands, and a host of others ranging from a 300year old pervert to the school's Principal who thinks he is Hawaiian and has a thing for shaving heads. Very rich cast. Oooch, forgot the best part of the guy who drowned in the Yeti riding a bull, holding an eel and chicken in it's hands spring, his name is....... Pantyhose Taro. o.o Aforementioned in order.. http://www.furinkan.com/ranma/chara.....s/shampoo.htmlhttp://www.furinkan.com/ranma/characters/ukyo.htmlhttp://www.furinkan.com/ranma/chara.....s/kodachi.htmlhttp://www.furinkan.com/ranma/chara.....ers/ryoga.htmlhttp://www.furinkan.com/ranma/chara.....rs/mousse.htmlhttp://www.furinkan.com/ranma/chara.....pantyhose.htmlhttp://www.furinkan.com/ranma/chara...../happosai.htmlhttp://www.furinkan.com/ranma/chara.....principal.htmlDo you see that I am very much a fan of this by giving ya all this info? |
